Apex Legends is well on its way to Season 12, and we’ve got confirmation of some of the new content coming soon.
Season 12 is called “Defiance”, and features a new legend called Mad Maggie. She was shown in a new Stories from the Outlands video on the Apex YouTube channel.
The official site says, “For all her crimes, Mad Maggie’s been condemned to fight to the death in the Games. But just who’s being punished here?”
In addition, Olympus will be changing in the next season when it launches on February 8th.. It’s unknown how the map will be affected, but it will probably be gaining some new areas and losing some old ones. This has happened to previous maps World’s Edge and King’s Canyon.
Apex Legends Season 12 Content
A new limited time game mode called “Control” is also coming in Season 12. For the first 3 weeks of Defiance, players can jump into the new Control mode. The site reads, “Select your loadout and drop in to a 9v9 experience where teams battle to hold control points with infinite respawn.”
Apex Legend’s three-year anniversary is also taking place. Players can earn rewards for logging in, including free legends and packs. Week 1 will grant Octane and three thematic packs, while week 2 will unlock Wattson and three more packs. Week 3 features Valkyrie with 3 thematic packs and a legendary.
Of course, there will also be another battle pass and a new ranked season to get stuck into as well.
