Fortnite update 3.55 is live for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One/X/S and PC as of 5th May 2022. Whilst this isn’t a content update, a separate update for Chapter 3, Season 2, the third major game patch this season, dropped a few days ago.
Battle for Tilted Towers was introduced for players, with the destruction of some buildings nearby in patch 20.30 pointing to something also happening to the towers somewhere down the line. Shotgun shot damage was also increased; however, a max damage cap was added too for obvious reasons.
Official Star Wars lightsabers also made a welcome return for May 4th (Star Wars Day), but we’re wondering why anyone would remove a lightsaber from any game in the first place!?
Funding stations for Choppas were also added to all seven outposts, of which the in-game unlockable to stick around for the rest of season two and beyond once funded.

Although the update has rolled out, no one is privy to the details just yet, but hopefully, we’ll get more insight when the next content patch goes live. The Fortnite status Twitter account is the only update we have to go on, giving a blanket stability issues notice:
