The New Spider-Man Trailer Is Finally Here – But Is Stan Lee Doing A Cameo?

Up, up, and away hype, the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer is finally here! As we patiently wait for Jon Watts to sweep up what’s left of Peter Parker from Avengers: Infinity War and kick-start Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’re caught in a web of intrigue. Spider-Man is suiting up for another perilous adventure in the official Far From Home trailer. You can check it out below.

In the trailer, Peter is trying to leave his life of fighting crime behind and enjoy a trip away with his friends. Sadly, a visit to Europe soon descends into the usual supervillain madness and proves why Spidey should’ve taken his suit with him.

As well as the rumoured inclusion of villains including Molten Man and Hydro-Man, we also get to see Jake Gyllenhaal stick a goldfish bowl on his head to play Mysterio. Taking over from Iron Man in Homecoming, Spider-Man also has a new mentor in the form of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.

However, the question on everyone’s lips is: Will Stan Lee be doing his famous cameo?

Well the answer is – maybe. I know, it’s frustrating. However, he typically filmed his cameos in batches, so it is possible that he filmed the Far From Home cameo around the same time he filmed one for Venom — both films were produced by Sony Pictures, reports Inverse.

Marvel also teased us with a new teaser poster as it continues to weave its web around the superhero blockbuster.

Replacing the likes of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland joined the MCU as a younger version of the wall-crawling hero and swung into action for Spider-Man: Homecoming. With the 22-year-old signed on for a five-movie arc, it’s no surprise that his apparent death in Infinity War wasn’t going to last for long.

While there’s Watt’s signature light-hearted tone, it’s not all doom and gloom though. The trailer is pretty funny and also shows the blossoming romance between Aunt May and Happy Hogan — move over Tony Stark. Also, we can see Peter and MJ taking their friendship to the next level and following their comic book romance.

There’s new suits, new locations, and new characters — is that Gwen Stacy we spot in the background? Consider us suitably pumped as Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into cinemas on July 5
