Kevin Spacey – Sexual Assault Charges

The three complaints all relate to sexual abuse which allegedly took place in London. Another apparently occurred in Gloucestershire.

One of Spacey’s charges relates to an offence that was alleged to have taken place in London during March 2005. Another alleged sexual assault supposedly took place in August of 2008, also in London.

Head of the CPS Special Crime Division, Rosemary Ainslie, confirmed that the Metropolitan Police’s evidence review “authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men”.

Spacey was previously accused of sexual assault by Anthony Rapp in 2017. At the time Spacey released a statement that said: “I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years.”

Spacey is well known for his high profile roles in shows like House of Cards and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare before these allegations came to light. The actor has since returned to acting, starring in the upcoming ‘Gore’ and ‘Peter Five Eight’. While production has now completed on those projects, it remains to be seen whether they will release in light of the actor’s charges.

Spacey is yet to release an official statement at this time.
