Sony has announced its PlayStation Plus line up of free games for April 2022, and it’s looking like a corker of a month!
This comes hot off the back of Sony overhauling its PlayStation Plus offering just yesterday. While there will soon be additional PlayStation Plus tiers for players to sign up for, these free games will be coming to the most basic option.
So, what games can PlayStation players look forward to in the free PlayStation Plus games for April?
PlayStation Plus Games – April 2022
First up, we’ve got Hood: Outlaws and Legends. This is a multiplayer action game with a fantasy setting. Rival gangs must fight it out in PvPvE heists. There’s both stealth and action playstyles to choose from, so a little something for everyone. It was released just under a year ago, so it’s great to see it finally released on PlayStation Plus now.
Next up is Slay the Spire. This hugely popular deck building card game has proven a true breakout hit over the years. It was released back in 2017 on PC, but has since made its way to consoles. You’re tasked with building up a deck of attacks which you take to an endless onslaught of monsters. If you’re a fan of roguelikes, you won’t want to miss this one.
Lastly, PlayStation Plus subscribers can enjoy the excellent remake SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. This was a hugely popular game adaptation from years ago, remastered for a new generation of consoles. It has all of the witty humour from the TV series, plus some fairly great 3D platforming sections. Not a bad month, all round!
Remember, you’ll need to redeem these games manually if you have a PlayStation Plus subscription. Once you redeem them, they’re yours to keep for as long as you maintain a subscription.
