Halo Season 1 now has a physical media release date


Paramount+’s Halo TV series is heading for a physical release. It will feature behind-the-scenes footage, collectable art cards and also exclusive content. 

According to a press release, the physical copies will feature five discs including all nine episodes of the series. It will also include over five hours’ worth of special features.

The release features some special behind-the-scenes content

Included in the special features is a behind-the-scenes look at the Battle of Madrigal. Fans will also get an insight into how the show’s costumes were created by designer, Giovanni Lipari.

Furthermore, fans will be treated to some words of wisdom from Picture Vehicle Coordinator, Paradi Sandor Jr. This conversation is a step-by-step look at how the Covenant and Spartan weapons materialised from design to final construction.

Also included in the release’s special features is a discussion with actor Jen Taylor. Taylor, who plays Cortana, talks about emotional journeys and reveals how Cortana was brought to the small screen.

You can also get a look at the studio recording of the funeral song ‘The Lake of Eternal Life’ and get an insight into how the cast worked through boot camps to become Spartans

How do you get the Halo TV series art cards?

The physical release of the Halo TV series will arrive on Digital, DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and limited-edition 4K Ultra HD SteelBook. 

Furthermore, the latter and the 4K Ultra HD editions include bonus collectable art cards. These are of characters Kwan Ha, Dr Halsey, Soren, Master Chief, Vannak, Riz and also Kai.

Will there be a series two?

Halo series one takes place in the universe inspired by the 2001 Xbox Halo video game. It features the cybernetically enhanced Spartan supersoldiers. Pablo Schreiber stars as the Master Chief.

The Halo series one cast also includes Natascha McElhone as Dr Halsey and Taylor as AI Cortana. Bookeem Woodbine. Shabana Azim and Olive Gray also feature in the first series. 

The digital and physical release copies of Halo TV series one are available from November 14. It’s marked with a 15 UK rating.

At the time of writing, production on series two has begun. However, there is yet to be an official release date.
